are they wind proof and warm enough to wear for spring cross country skiing?

They are rated for 0 to 40 degree weather and up to 35 mph winds; I've never been cold in SportHill Zone 3 wear like these, although I haven't tested the pants on the coldest of days yet. Depending on your spring weather, they may be too warm.
