I've worn a helmet over the hood over jacket; it's snug and thin so I would say that it is helmet compatible. (Why would you want to wear a hood over your helmet?)

The hood is NOT helmet compatible. It is designed to fit snugly around your head and go under a helmet if needed. Think speed skater hood and you'll get the picture...Cheers!
