i need lightweight and sheer long underwear that i can wear under a business shirt, suit and tie for bitter cold days which will help keep me warm when outside but which won't be too much during the part of the day i'm in the office. is there such a thing? do you carry it?

Hey Doug, I've been wearing the silkweight patagonia capelline as boxers and undershirts- under shirt & tie (it might be called capelline 1 now). I think the stuff rocks and is worth the investment because: 1) it lasts forever... been wearing mine every day for 8 years...never had a pair of cotton anything last that long. 2) performance. Gotta hustle up the stairs? if you start sweating, this stuff wicks it away. Nervous in an important meeting or interview? They'll never know it because this stuff wicks it away, dispersing it evenly, unlike it's cotton counterparts. I'm 5 ft 10 inches 140 lbs and a medium fits me well. Hope this helps.

This might be too warm for that, but it depends on how hot-natured you are. The bodyfit 200 is nice and clingy without being constricting and has a great warmth-to-weight ratio. If I were you though, I'd go down 1 "notch" to something just slightly cooler.I'd recommend the Patagonia Capilene 1 Crew or the SmartWool Microweight Crew. If I'm Indoors more than Out: Icebreaker 150, Smartwool Microweight, Patagonia Wool 2. I find the Patagonia to be more comfortable/soft but not quite as durable as the other 2. If I'm Outdoors more than In: Icebreaker 200, Smartwool Lightweight.
