How durable is the face of the watch? I have heard some mixed reactions to previous models.

It got scratched very easily on me. As comparison I wear a Suunto Core everyday for the past 6 months or so to work and its face is fine. I think the t3d got scratched in a bin full of hiking clothing; no idea how. If you buy this I'd buy a Zagg cover for it immediately.

I found this watch to be extremely durable. I also found it to have some mechanical problems and went through a few before finally giving up. Great features though.
