I have an tnf amplitude 3-climate jacket, and, the shell is extremly hard. it is like wearing a space suit. I would like to know if the outer layer of this various jacket is the same or if it is soft. thanks

I'm not familiar with the Amplitude 3-Climate Jacket so I can't compare, but the Varius is pretty tough on the outer layer. I was surprised, but in a good way. It's not so stiff that you can't move, but it is "durable."
