Reading the answer above, I was originally going to get a medium b/c that is the size of my northface jacket... but i'm only 5'7" 150lbs... should I go with the small?

Go with the small. I'm 5'11", 195 lbs, 42/43 jacket, 34 pants and the medium is plenty big for me.
