I just received this leash thinking that it would work with a BD Viper ice axe. It doesn't. Am I missing something? What BD leash does work with the Viper?

Look at the attachment points on each of them carefully, and it should be clear which one will fit your tools. The one with the post on the attachment point uses a screw that goes through the tool to the attachment point. The one without the post uses a screw that goes through the leash into the tool.

I have the same question. I used a pair of Vipers with this exact leash configuration in March, but when I ordered a pair of both tools and leashes, there's no way the leash will attach... what's the deal?[edit:] I'm a moron. There were some rubbarized logos that peel off the shaft about midway up to reveal the hole set for the Viper Android. On first inspection I thought that seemed too high to be the spot where the leash would mount and that the holes were just missing, but everything works like it should.
