Hello,A lot of the features are pretty similar technically. Main differences are the heel on the ultra. Do you see the colored dots along the heel? These are suppose to absorb more shock and squish out while running (they do not go out that much). Also, the forefoot is more rigid. With a lot of shoes it is half marketing half truth. Can say I know a lot of people who tried to save money with XA Comp 2 that later upgraded to the Pro 3D. Go with the Pro 3D it is a superior and more comfortable shoe.Mahalo, Sumo
