I'm looking for a prox. 6" boot to wear for general purpose outdoor activities that will keep my feet dry and fairly warm in winter in snow. Good grip is also important. Will this Montrail boot fill my needs, or would you recommend another?

Robert,This boot has great traction, about 6" high, and will keep your foot dry. In terms of wearing it in the snow is really subjective. If you are in a really cold climate nothing will replace a winter boot. If you just have a little snow order 1 size up (this boot runs a little small) and get a heavy weight sock to wear with it. A heavier weight hiking boot might be a nice balance of the two, perhaps Montrail Torre.Mahalo, Sumo
