I'm concerned about warmth v. wetness. How does primaloft compare with down, really? I'm hesitant to get primaloft due to old mittens (Marmot) not quite doing the trick (frost nipped fingers repeatedly as a kid), but am unsure about goose down due to potential moisture. I just moved to Maine, so I'm not even sure if wet snow will be an issue. I use them for casual excercise (dog walking, sledding, etc.) and would add a liner for rare fine motor needs (eg. tying ice skates or picking up poop - ugh). Suggestions? Please also include any sizing info you might have since not all mitts follow the same chart. I'm 7.5, woman's.
