Has anyone tried these? My feet are sasquatch-esque and i need help! I would just buy them but they arent cheap and i would think raising your center of gravity would be a bad thing...Thanks for any insight.

Rasing your center of gravity by that small of an increment is not very significant as far as your balance goes, but it does make your board more responsive and quicker to gain an edge.
