A review on product #LBT0022 says that the Gnu boards have a wrapped metal edge all the way around. Is this really the case? I've read elsewhere that a particular Gnu board had the wood edges like the lib tech. I live in a small town with no good shops anywhere around us. So the main reason for the question is so I can make a decision whether or not to go Gnu or another traction board.

They are built like lib tech boards. They are refering to the edge it self, not the side walls. And if you are worried about duability the handcafted boards are duable as long as you file any scares that are on the topof the board. Me and all my friends ride lib tech boards and they have lasted us, because you repair our boards.
