im thinking about buying this jacket or the simple synchilla jacket, i can afford both of them but i need alot of other gear to, which one should i choose

this will definitely be warmer overall than the Simple Synchilla since it's windproof. so it depends what you're looking for. Simply Synhilla might be a better all around layering piece where the retro X is more of a jacket
