I have bought the white Apex and was wondering how is the best way to clean them so you do not break down the water repellant

A warm damp rag; if that doesn't work, a warm damp rag + mild detergent; if that doesn't work, throw it in the wash and then go ahead and invest in some DWR. You would've needed it anyway to keep the water resistance throughout the life of your jacket.
