"This model runs on AA batteries and is shaped to fit inside most standard off the shelf retail water bottles. The other SteriPEN models run on camera style batteries (CR123's)." When you consider the price of CR123 batteries, both the "Journey & Adventurer" models are slightly lighter but more expensive to operate!
