not at all, you sweat and it is like the rainforest on the inside- the jacket loses its resiliency to water and rain soaks right throw- you are guaranteed to be clammy with this jacket

If it is cool/cold outside it works OK. If it is warm out, you will be moist while active.

I would wear a fleece under it in cold weather. It is a very light shell keeps the rain off, but in cold weather you will want something under it...
