I have Fischer comfort cruiser boots with SNS Profil marked on the soles (size EU40). Will this binding fit and be compatible with this boot?

Yes. The thing to look for on the boot is a single bar that locks on to the binding near the front of the boot. The other type of Salomon binding is called the SNS Pilot and has two attachment points instead of just one.
