I'd say this bag is a good investment for summer camping. You can buy bags that are rated at higher temps for less though. The downside to doing that is that you never know when the temps will dip below what you are expecting. I always like to have a bag that is rated for slightly below what I'd normally be camping in. If it gets too warm, you unzip it and lay it over you like a comforter. This is a good down bag so it shouldn't be too warm in the summer as it vents well when unzipped. It's also super light.If you get too hot, unzip it, unfold it and lay it over you like a quilt. Put your feet in the foot box and you should be fine. This is a perfect summer weight bag.
