The ultralamina is made with lighter weight fabric (20D/384T Micro Ripstop Nylon. DWR finish. Lightweight and tear resistant. 1.07 oz./ sq. yd.) and the zipper, combined, is equivalent to a 3/4 length zip. The Lamina has a full length zip and a tad heavier fabric (40D/ 240T outer shell fabric is rugged and compressible, DWR finish for water repellency) over all. Same Thermic CF insulation in both. Basically one is lighter than the other. Compare the Lamina 35 to Ultralamina 32. Hope this helps.
