I have a 3 year old that has been "snow boarding" down the sledding hills since 1 years old on an old style snowboard (slip your foot into a binding that loops over your boot but doesn't tie you in). His 7 year old sister and 13 year old brother are tearing up the slopes on their real Burton boards but we can't find a real board to take him out on the slopes with and the slip ons are not allowed on the hills (understandably). All but the 3 year old were in Red Lodge this past weekend on a snowboard vacation and we saw a 3 year old out there on a board without the sharp edges. The dad said it was a Burton board that he had found at backcountry so I'm curious to know what it might be. Was it the Chopper? If not, do you have a suggestion for a snowboard for the one who is feeling left behind?BTW - leg strength is very important and my kids were all walking before they were 9 months old so this is not a typical family...

This board does have metal edges. I haven't seen the one you are talking about.
