I'm 6' 3'', 185lbs. Would I be able to comfortably wear a sweater underneath a Medium or should I get a Large?

For your height I wouldn't have considered a medium, regardless. You should order a large simply for your height. A sweater should fit fine underneath given that the jacket fits you. I have a medium and I am 5'9" 155 lbs!-------------------Agreed. And you might even be more comfortable in an XL. Especially if you are planning on layering!
