WIth the Giro G9 Helmet. My head measures exactly 22.5 inches. If i got the size L, would it be too loose without a hat?ThanksHenry

You should be fine. There is a micro dial in the back to help it fit properly. The dial actually cranks down pretty far so I'm sure you'll have a fine fit. If it is too big you can always return it.
