I've tried on Burton pants before that were too short. Are these the long or short inseam?

They are normal inseam as far as Burton goes. This year they made their sig fit slightly longer to make them more stylish. I am 5'7" and these pants in size Medium were PLENTY long...as in, would have dragged in the parking lot.
