Just got this jacket off SAC. The jacket is amazing, wool and fleece together are great. I got a large after reading the reviews saying its an athletic fit. Im 6'2", 170. My arms are long, so the sleeves fit perfect and the length is good. But I found it too baggy in the torso. How much shorter is the jacket and the arms in the medium? how much more fitted will it be? Worth it to return for a medium?

I'm basically the same size as you (6'1 175 lbs) and I ordered the medium originally. I normally like my clothes to be on the fitted/snug side, but the medium in this jacket was way too tight on me. I exchanged it for the large, which has a little extra room but it's still a really sweet jacket.
