Do these have what I call a "kiddy Strap" to hold the mitten to the sleeve when the mittens are hanging and not attached. Helps keep the mitten from falling to the ground when riding a chair lift. If so, is it removable?

Yes, they do have a strap that goes around your wrist and is adjustable. It is not removable.
