Two questions: *the Elysium has the same power fill as the North Face Nuptse jacket (700 down) but is $50 more. Why the premium? I assume there is some advantage.* does the Elysium have the same fit as the Nuptse, or should one size up/down?

The Elysium is not as "puffy" and bulky as the Nuptse, the fabric is lighter and stronger. I'm 6'2" and 230 and the XL fits great so I see no need to size up or down.
