The Mercury is essentially the same as the Blur except that it has some added stability if you are not a neutral runner. I wear stability shoes on the road, but the Blur's for all trail running. I've ran lot of long runs (26 miles +) in the Blurs and they work great. I've also tried the Velocity VST and did not like it. Seemed to be really clunky.
