I was told that a 800 fill jacket would be warmer than the North Face that is 600 fill, what do you think? I live in Canada that experiences extreme cold weather, I need the warmest coat.

A given weight of 800 fill will loft more than the same weight of 600 fill, and thus be warmer. This jacket is not a heavy jacket at all, so it won't be warm enough for extreme cold.
