It really just depends on your preference. I have both versions and I am finding that the pullover i tend to use more like a shirt and wear it to death and the jacket i use as a jacket to go over clothing. I personally like the jacket as it is easy on easy off for when you need to shed or add layers quickly, the pullover is nice as well with the thumb holes.

Medium sz Monkey Jkt weight: 1lb 2ozMedium sz Monkey halfzip Jkt: 0lb 15oz, plus you get thumb holes on the cuffs. Those are the only major differences.
