I have used it with my jetboil a bunch keeping in mind that I could scratch the pan. So I never really scrape hard or enough to scratch the surface. It will for sure scratch teflon or coated cookware. The teeth are sharp and metal. check out this one from MSR it is plastic and folds up MSR Spork Item #CAS0548

Would definitely not recommend it for teflon. I used a titanium spork with my Jetboil which has a nonstick coating and it got pretty well scratched up. Stick to plastic utensils for stirring. MSR and others have some great options.
