I was considering buying the Salomon STH14 ski binding...I have lifter plates (10mm yellow salomon driver plates) that fit the older 914 salomon bindings and wanted to know if the mounting points were the same so I could so the lifter plates on teh STH14s?Is there any reason why I should not mount lifters on my Mantras...I assume it would give better hard snow grip.

Skiing the Mantras on hard snow is not fun. Mount the 14's normally, and you'll have a dope setup for soft snow.If the snow hardens up, the Mantra is one of the last skis I'd like to be on, Thats when the Fischer Watea's come out.(Trying not to sound jerky.. just kickin' the truth)
