Is this sock true to size? I am looking for something that will fir a size 12 shoe (men's) Would you recommend the XL or would it be too bulky?

Almost every Smartwool I've owned shrink after several washings. If you're close/borderline to the size split, go a size up on the sock. May be a little loose at first but will soon be 'just right'
