Is this suit warm enough for me to wear just a thin turtle neck...

Is this suit warm enough for me to wear just a thin turtle neck underneath it or do I need something thicker like a sweater (Minnesota weather)?

You can definitely feel wind coming through the suit -- especially in the arms and chest. I am returning my small for a medium so I can accomodate a wind-proof layer underneath.

i know we all run very different in temperature but i tend to run cold. i wear this suit everyday with just a thin wool base layer. on a very cold day i might an an extra lightweight sweater but never more...just another opinion...

No definately not!! I bought this suit and it was not warm at all, especially on top!! To be honest I was very disappointed, I had hoped that with the price and the reputation of North Face that I would be toasty warm. I actually returned it and bought the Columbia Red Hot Jumpsuit. It has 100 grams of insulation throughout where this suit has only 40 grams on top and 70 grams on parts of the bottom. I still wear a sweater and thermals under the Columbia but I am a VERY big wimp when it comes to cold weather.
