Unless you have a very tiny head, it is mostly personal preference and anatomy. I have a skinny, 7 1/4 head, but I wear "large" goggles. I like the style and real estate.

There really isn't a measurement for your face size. Look in the mirror, what do you see; Melons should go Large. Smaller heads, obviously should go Small. Everything in between usually works well with a Medium.
