is there a rain/wind shell available for this coat? it's a great cold-weather coat, but gets soaked in wet snow/rain and the wind rips through at the seams...

No there is no rain option for this down coat but TNF also has other great rain layers available like their Heathen Jacket to protect you from wind/storm elements. The Heathen is available at bc.com for sale too.
