I'm want to get a new down vest to replace the one I've worn out. I'm considering the NF Nuptse (700 fill), Amore (600 fill), or Aconcagua (550 fill). Can someone explain what temperature ranges as associated with the different fill powers? I live in Santa Cruz where it's cold much of the year and I need something mid-weight. I don't necessarily get cold easily, mainly just cold hands so I wear gloves a lot. I will wear it with layers. I want it as an all-around vest for going to school, running errands, and also for light-moderate hikes. If it's really cold, I'll more than likely wear a heavier jacket.

there is no specific rating. Do you get cold easily? Will you wear layers? Will you be doing much activity?
