i am looking at picking up a pair of TNF 'mountain' or 'free thinker' and was wondering if anyone would be able to help me out with what pair are the better buy. generally looking for a quality shell (no insulation) that will keep my dry in all conditions (snow + rain for the frigid and warmer days) and are built to last through more than one season. seems like both pairs offer pretty much the same specs so i'm wondering if the extra money for the 'free thinker' really provides anything extra that the 'mountain' does not. can anyone help out??

I do not own the Free Thinker, but after reading the reviews for them, it was a no brainer to buy these pants. The Free Thiker are not the Gore-Tex Enduro Pro shell, they are just Gore-Tex performance like these, also read that the zip on the rear of the Free Thinker, is not sealed well. These pants rock, although the Free Thinker are way down in price now.
