According to the TSA website a carry on must comply with the following "the sum of the 3 dimensions (length + width + depth) must be 45 inches or less to qualify as a carry on. This bag does qualify as a carry on.

too big. 22" is max (sometimes smaller, depending on whether you get a nasty gate agent or not)
