what temperature is this rated down to? I am wondering if this would be adequate as my main insulation layer in northern quebec? I will be regularly x-county sking to an ice fishing hole. It will get down to -20f quite often im wondering if some other layering and a softshell would cut it for the fishing portion or non-low activity outside use in this kind of weather?

I'm not sure what the exact rating is on this but I would say, with a decent layer(s) underneath, this should hold up. I just wear this with a t-shirt when it's in the teens/single-digits here in Utah and it keeps me plenty warm. A good base layer, fleece sweater, and this on top, should be good in my opinion. TNF Nuptse Jacket is also a solid choice but it can get quite warm when doing any activity unfortunately. Good luck!I agree. Here in CO, I can wear it with just a t-shirt down to almost zero and it's all good. Put a thermal or light fleece under it and maybe a shell for the rain and it's all you need. The hood keeps your whole head warm, too!
