would you say these are the best for winter running as far as keeping your feet the warmest or the xt wing gtx's? I have the regulars and they are great for ventilation but get cold in the winter.

Salmon makes a great winter shoe called the Speedcross, you might want to check those out. The GTX's will probably keep your feet dry and anything that is waterproof is going to breath a little less than something that isn't so your feet will retain more heat.
