Yes they are but you'll want to either hand wash or use the hand wash cycle. Extra rinse and don't use fabric softner. If you're open you might also try the Outdoor Research Alti Mitten. I found them to feel not so slippery on the palm. these have a synthetic insulation on the palm side of your hand which literally felt slippery when you gripped things. Kind of strange and maybe a little anal retentive but that was just what I found.Hope that helps.
