Does the lifetime warranty really cover the gloves if they just 'wear out'? My dad works with horses, lifting bales of hay, pitch forks, etc. If he wears out the palms or fingers, does he get a new pair free?

Warranties, allbethem lifetime, generally cover defective workmanship and not everyday wear-and-tear. That being said, your dad would probably get much better use and wear from a glove with work designed as its purpose. (And they're less $$$.)http://marmot.com/fall_2008/mens/gloves/work_gloves/work_glove/info/details------------------------Well actually, if you think you can sleep at night afterwards, you could wear holes in them through normal use and Backcountry will still take them back and refund you fully. It's kind of cheap, but they'll do it.
