I have problems with buying gloves because of the length of my fingers. My middle finger measures 4 1/4 inches from the base of the finger, while the length of my overall hand is 9 inches. Would you be able to recommend the correct size based on this?

I hear ya. I have the same problem. For your size hands I'd probably recommend a size 11 in Hestra. You might also take a peek at Grandoe gloves on backcountry.com. They're amazing gloves but seem to have figured out the longer finger battle.Hope that helps.
