I bought these glasses from REI (don't worry I buy plenty from Backcountry) and they came with a hard clamshell case out of the box. SO unless Backcountry is opening the boxes and keeping the cases for themselves they do come with a case.

It comes with a little drawstring bag, good for preventing scratches but it's not a hard case.
