How well does this jacket do in the rain. I layer and hate bulky jackets, i just need something for rainy days walking the dogs and hiking.

This guy is only rain resistant, not "proof."--------------------------------in the rain this will keep YOU almost completley dry...but as for the jacket, it might as well be a sponge...the top layer gets soaked but water never actually penetrates all the way through
