By Ranked #208 - Telemark Skis and Alpine Touring Skis December 5, 2008

I have a pair of 175 cm Atomic TG 10's for the backcountry. I bought them too short, so they sink when tracking in powder and difficult to turn and stay upright. Looking at Barons as a replacement. 184's sound right as my tele skis, Tm22's, are 180's. I am 5-10, 160lbs. Any sugestions on another ski or length would help.

Where do you ski? If it's anywhere in the west, go fatter. The G3 Reverends might be a good choice. I have 88mm underfoot touring skis and I find them to be too narrow at this point. Skis gain a bit in weight when you go fatter, but it's worth it on the way down!
