I am old - new to current gagets. I have purchased a Magellan 1412 for my husband's Christmas. On the box it says suction to window. We both need closer range sight and speaker. So would like to find mount that has a magnet that works on dash. Also one of our cars has a mat on dash. Would we have to remove it?thanks Ida.

No some company make a mount that sits on you dash check out there web sites like tom tom there make a universal one
