A Question about Sherpani Rumba Backcountry Kid Carrier
By navpsychem2185143 on April 22, 2008
I used a back carrier for a while with my daughter. She is now 3 years old, 35 pounds, and 3ft 1 inch. I am really skeptical about making a purchase and finding out that it's just as good as the one she outgrew. So, can anyone answer if a long preschooler (not infant or toddler) can truly go on a hike or walk with one of these and not have their feet fall asleep, be uncomfortable (especially with length), and not have it hurt the person carrying it? This is where we are only currently with old one since she grew. Thanks.

I have a two-year old who is 35 pounds and 3ft 3inches, and he fits in it, but all the straps were at the maximum length. He seemed to be comfortable in it. The stirrups are a nice touch and help keep his feet from dangling (although they are small for a 9.5 toddler shoe.
Overall, it fits better than the Kelty Adventure that he used to ride in.
