What about the lack of ice screamer. Seems everyone I climb with uses screamers on all but the rarest of situations. Anyone see a problem with this?

You don't need a screamer for every screw. They are good for your first or second screw, doing hero runnouts or marginal ice. After your a ways out from the belay you have more rope streatch to lessen the impact force. I've seen whippers on 13cm's and they do hold w/o a screamer.

You can still clip a screamer into the runner. Just like clipping the hanger itself on other screws.

I've never seen a screamer used on an ice screw. You can usually find screamers in quickdraw form though.
