Is it possible to use these boots with crampons for basic/beginning ice climbing?

You would definitely be hating life if you tried ice climbing in these. You could use strap crampons, but without a stiff sole (at least a half-shank), you would be destroying your calves. You could do it--it just would be horribly inefficient as these boots are not at all designed for technical climbing or mountaineering.

No, they won't be stiff enough. Ski boots can be made to work if you have them already.
